Kolkata, 21st June, 2024- The Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers men’s and women’s teams are on a winning streak in the Bengal Pro T20 League 2024. Their recent victories have fans hopeful for continued strong performances in the upcoming matches.
Yesterday men’s team played at Eden Gardens and won against the Harbour Diamonds by 7 wickets. The Tigers chose to bowl first and kept the Harbour Diamonds to 138 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Karan Lal was the star, scoring an unbeaten 62 runs from 43 balls, earning him the Player of the Match award. Abhishek Porel also played well, scoring 30 runs from 23 balls. The Tigers chased the target, scoring 139 runs in 16.4 overs.
There were good partnerships, with Karan Lal and Sandeep Tomar adding 32 runs, and Karan Lal and Akash Pandey adding 36 runs. This win moved the Tigers up to second place on the points table.
On last match , the women’s team played at the Jadavpur University Campus and won against the Servotech Siliguri Strikers. The Strikers batted first and scored 86 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs, thanks to the Tigers’ strong bowling.
The Tigers chased the target, scoring 89 runs for 3 wickets in 14.5 overs, winning by 7 wickets. Ipsita Mondal scored 28 runs from 35 balls, Mamata Kisku scored 27 runs from 24 balls, and Mita Paul added 16 runs from 12 balls.
