Kolkata, 11th January 2025 — The Administration of South 24 Parganas, in collaboration with Rakshak Foundation, successfully launched the Green Ganga Sagar initiative during the Ganga Sagar Mela. Volunteers from Rakshak Foundation actively participated in promoting environmental awareness, distributing eco-friendly bags, collecting plastic waste, and marching with placards to raise consciousness about the importance of sustainable practices.

The Ganga Sagar Mela which draws large large numbers of visitors, The volunteers & students from Rakshak Foundation who are instrumental in educating visitors on the importance of reducing plastic waste and encouraging eco-friendly alternatives during the event.
